The
Crain family has served area families since
1932. George C. and Marguerite Crain started out in Tamms
and Pulaski. Marguerite was one of the first women in the
state to become a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
The next
generation of Crains, Bob and Bill, expanded to other
communities and the Crain Funeral Homes soon served all of
Union, Alexander, and Pulaski Counties.
Now,
under the leadership of 3rd generation owner
Bryan Crain, the organization has expanded to serve Southern
Illinois and Southeast Missouri and now includes 6 funeral
homes, 3 cemeteries, and a full service monument company
