Pet Services

Animals are wonderfully agreeable friends. They ask so little of us, and give so much love in return. When it comes time for you to let go of your animal companion, making the decisions on how to care for their physical remains can be heart-wrenching.

A private cremation means your pet is placed in the cremation chamber alone. Upon completion of the cremation, your pet's cremated remains are removed from the chamber, and returned to you, in an urn of your choice.

Our Services

Private Cremations

We provide ONLY private cremations to ensure that only the  cremains of your pet are returned to you. When we meet with each individual or family, either for pre-need or at the time of their pet’s death, we discuss whether to bury or return the cremains in an urn to the pet  parent.

When the cremation is complete, the inside of the crematory is brushed and all traces of ash are removed.  Nothing is inside the crematory except your pet unless you have specified that a favorite blanket or toy be cremated at the same time.

We offer a wide range of memorialization options.

Special Note

….Not all pet cremations are the same, please read on….

 What we do not provide:

 Communal or Group Cremation

Although few veterinarians, their staff or the companies they use will admit to it, this is the service that the majority of pets will end up with—despite the wishes of the owners. This procedure typically involves the mass collection of pets in a van or box truck (that comes only once a week to vet clinics) without any   special handling , followed by incineration. The ashes or the entire un-incinerated body are disposed of, the majority of the time at a landfill.

Many people have no objections to this service as it provides a simple disposal option. However, it will  often be described as mass, routine or communal cremation, but has little to do with the correct  procedure for those services. The situation is not helped by veterinarians and staff using the term cremation rather than incineration so as to not upset their clients.

We do not recommend this method as there is no guarantee your pet will be handled individually or that you would be   guaranteed return of the actual ashes.
