Robert Eugene Hanson

Robert Eugene Hanson, 73 of Murphysboro, died at 5:45 am on Friday, May 20, 2005 in the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro. Robert was born on July 28, 1931 in DeSoto, Illinois, the son of the late Carlson E. and Ethel Irene (Judd) Hanson. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War; he was of the Christian faith and was a retired supervisor for Tuck Tape Corporation in Carbondale, and a member of the American Legion Paul Stout Post 127 in Murphysboro. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, on Tuesday May, 24th 2005, at the Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with Pastor Charles Allen of the Elm Street Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro, with military rites by the American Legion Post 127, and VFW Post 7190 both of Murphysboro, VFW Post 2605 in Carbondale and Chapter 69 Jackson County Disabled American Veterans. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 pm on Monday, May 23, 2005 at the Crawshaw Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Elm St. Baptist Church, or to the American Legion Paul Stout Post 127 and will be accepted at the funeral home. Survivors include two daughters; Sandra E. Bieschke of Pensacola, Fl., and Tammy M. Hanson of Murphysboro, three sons and two daughters in laws; Robert E. Jr. and Bernadette Hanson of Metropolis, Il. Curt Hanson of Gorham, and Eric and Debi Hanson of Murphysboro, five stepchildren; Paula Beland, Deon Carson, Donna Stanley, Darlene Penrod, and Jennifer Frick, Grandchildren; Dwayne and Joy Helton, Keith Cook, Chad, Ryan, Deonna and Ashley Carson, Kristina Charles, Kalei Stanley, Krystal Cross, Christina Penrod, Chris, Jessica, and James Michael Hanson, Chet, Fallon, and Bridget Bieschke, Renae Childers, Lindsey and Aaron Hanson, Nick Summers, Lukas, Blake, Kirstyn and Skyker Hanson, Great Grandchildren; Dallas, Dillon, Haley, Julia, Jerrica, and Jayden Helton, Chris Cook, Kala Carson, Madison Tellor, Alan Cross Jr., David Tellor Jr., and Rayden Charles. One brother Jim Hanson of Murphysboro, and one sister and brother in law Betty and Charles Arbeiter of Granite City, Il. One Grandson Tyler Summers, three brothers; Henry, Arthur L., and Carlson Hanson Jr preceded him in death.
