LeRae Marie Edwards

LeRae Marie Edwards, 35, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away at 9:08 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. A funeral servie will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Pettett Funeral Home and burial at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until 11a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be made for an educational fund to be established for LeRae's son Keatton Edwards in care of his grandmother Julie Gale. For more information, please visit http://www.pettettfuneralhome.com/. LeRae was born on May 26, 1977, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Larry Jones and Julie (Wright) Gale. She was a teacher's aide at Tri-County Special Education until her accident in 2006. Mrs. Edwards was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Murphysboro. She married Greg Edwards in December of 2003 in Murphysboro, and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2008. LeRae is survived by one son Keatton Edwards at home, her mother Julie Gale, and Albert Gale, who raised her as his daughter; two sisters Erin Camfield and her husband Tyler Camfield of DeSoto and Ashley Gale of Murphysboro; a nephew and niece Jack Camfield and Emma Camfield of DeSoto; grandparents Ruth Wright of Murphysboro, and Oakley Gale of Ava. three uncles Thomas "Mike" Wright of Marion, Dennis Wright of Murphysboro and Terry Jones; two aunts Tina Ewbank and her husband Mike Ewbank, and Lisa Easton, all of Murphysboro; father in law Thomas "Eugene" Edwards of Ava; two brother in laws Christopher Edwards of Ava and Patrick Edwards of Murphysboro; and cousins Cameron Wright and his wife Ellissa Wright and children Braxton, Devyn, and Bria, all of Marion, Jennifer Sauerbraun and her husband Mark Sauerbraun of Kansas City, KS, Kimberly Meade and her husband Brian Meade, and Christopher Wright and his wife Janna Wright, all of Marion, Marilyn Gannon, Zach Easton and Eric Easton, all of Murphysboro. She also leaves behind many other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Larry Jones, grandfather Thomas Wright, grandmother Helen Gale, mother in law Connie Edwards, and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and paternal members of the Larry Jones' family.
