Chong A. Johnston

Chong A. Johnston, 62, of Tamms passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Chong was born in Seoul, South Korea on June 7, 1958 to the late Sun Pak. She married Michael Johnston on April 18, 1978. She was a loving mother and cherished her family. Chong enjoyed her cactus collection and growing other plants. She was of the Catholic Faith. She is survived by her husband, Michael “Bull” Johnston of Tamms; daughter, Mary Bridges of St. Louis; son, Randy Johnston of Tamms; granddaughter, Kaysee Johnston of Cape Girardeau, MO; grandson, Landon Johnston of Dupo; great-grandson, Jason Crawford (Chunky Bear) of Cape Girardeau, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Chong was preceded in death by her parents; sister; son-in-law, Jason Bridges; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Mildred Johnston; brother-in-law, James Johnston; sister-in-law, Shirley Davis; and nephew, Dwayne “Bubba” Johnston. Cremation was accorded. A celebration of life will be announced in the future. Crain Funeral Home in Tamms is in charge of cremation arrangements. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
