Janet L. Parker

Janet L. Parker, age 76 of Sesser, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 1:27 AM in Licking, Missouri. She was born on March 9, 1942 in Alto Pass, Illinois to John Thomas and Virginia Pearl (Lindsey) Rendleman. She married David R. Parker on June 29, 1959. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2016. Janet worked privately as a home health provider. She was also an ordained minister and was involved extensively with the Pentecostal Church of God in Sesser, Illinois. She loved all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of her other family members. She also loved animals and crocheting. Janet enjoyed flying and always wanted to get her pilots license. She visited many places in her lifetime including, Honduras and Hawaii. She loved traveling and helping others and enjoyed doing mission trips and attending church. Janet is survived by her children; Lesa (Fred) Wells of O’Fallon, MO, Darrek (Tammy) Parker of Sesser, IL, Darin (Elaine) Parker of Huntsville, MO, Laura (Terry) Gant of Licking, MO, Drake (Emily) Parker of Licking, MO and Launa (John) Corbitt of South Roxana, IL; 35 Grandchildren; 52 Great Grandchildren; Siblings; Charles Rendleman of Hillsboro, MO, Sue (Joe) Luaders of Troy, MO, Dorris Rendleman of Crothersville, IN, Johnny Rendleman of Grand Tower, IL, Sharon Smith of Moscow Mills, MO, Pam (Jim) Cocas of Imperial, MO, Nancy Greer of Spring Arbor, MI, Ginny (Mike) Williams of Sesser, IL and Angie (David) Downs of Centralia, IL; Many Other Relatives and Friends. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; Son, David “PeeWee” Parker; Daughter-in-Law, Paula Parker; 2 Grandsons, John Stephen and Talon Scott Corbitt; 1 Great Grandson, Ezeqial Mar Lopez. Visitation for Janet L. Parker will be from 12:00 to 1:30 PM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Crain Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Funeral Service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:30 PM at the funeral home with Toby Ping officiating. Interment was postponed due to weather. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower, Illinois with Toby Ping officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home or the graveside.
