Julian Ruben Valdez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Julian “Ruben” Valdez, age 61 of DeSoto, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at his home. He was born May 26, 1958 to Alejandro and Maria (Longoria) Valdez in Hanford, CA. On January 21, 1987 Ruben married Kathy Buchholz. They shared 32 years of making wonderful memories. He loved old Chevy trucks, guns, hunting and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed working on and teaching others about motors. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, whom he loved to the fullest. Ruben is survived by his wife, Kathy Valdez of DeSoto; two daughters, Wendy (Scot) Carter of Ava and Nina Valdez (Christopher Glazik) of Murphysboro and a son, Alvin (Brittany) Valdez of Carbondale; his precious grandchildren, James; Hayden; Chance; Eden; Savannah; Adalee and CJ; his siblings; Roger Valdez; Alex Valdez; Iseral Valdez; Janey Gonzalez; Isabel Klock and Odelia Salazar, all of CA; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marie Wee. Funeral Services for Julian “Ruben” Valdez will be Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 7:00 pm in Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home with Father Robert Flannery officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
