Mildred Faye (Thomas) Halterman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mildred Faye (Thomas) Halterman, 87, of Norris City, IL and formerly of Anna, IL passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Wabash Christian Village. She was born on November 29, 1933 in Charlotte, Arkansas to M. Denis Thomas and Ophia Della (Lemmon) Thomas. Mildred married Jean C. Halterman on December 25, 1951 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1982. Mildred worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Bunny Bread and later for Pepsi MidAmerica. Survivors include her daughters Christine Miller of Anna, IL, Candy (Mike) Huckleberry of Alhambra, IL, her sister Wilma Thomas of Norris City, IL, her sister in law Linda Thomas of Wichita, KS, eleven grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. Mildred will also be dearly missed by her special friends in White County, Marlene Harrington and Elizabeth Cox. In addition to her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Wayne Thomas, and her daughter Penny Feickert. Visitation for Mildred Halterman will be from 11:00am-1:00pm Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro. Services will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home with John Maszaros officiating and Kellie Dillon Treece delivering the eulogy. Private interment will be held in Anna City Cemetery.
