Patrick Charles Wong, age 50, of Glen Carbon, formerly of Cairo, passed away at 4:38 AM on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. He was born on July 23, 1971 in Cairo, Illinois to Dr. Gemo and Dialina (Dehitta) Wong. Patrick graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He worked for 20 years as a respiratory therapist at various hospitals in St. Louis. He loved working out mainly lifting weights. He also enjoyed martial arts movies. Patrick loved spending time with his children. He is survived by his 2 sons, William Patrick and James Michael Wong both of Glen Carbon, IL; mother, Dialina Wong of Marion, IL; 2 brothers, Nelson Kirk Wong of Marion, IL and Gemo Young Wong, Jr. of Portland, OR; 1 sister, Christy Shumaker of Chicago, IL; Many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Gemo Wong. Services for Patrick will be private. Cremation will be accorded.
