Ronald A. Peterson Jr, age 56, of Karnak, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 1:45 P.M. at his residence. Ronald was born on April 12, 1966 to Clara Mae (Holst) and Ronald Allan Peterson, Sr in Yorkville, Illinois. He was united in marriage to Tina Marie (Slusher) on March 22, 1997. She survives. Ronald was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He began his career as an over the road truck driver and later transitioned to OilDri, where he worked for over 15 years. He attended Maple Grove Baptist Church. Besides his wife, survivors include: A daughter – Kerri Ann (Ricky, Jr.) Plazarin; A grandson – Kevin Lee Plazarin; One step-daughter – Michelle Rene Orack Paller; One step-granddaughter - Averie Laureen Orack; Siblings – Beverly, Tina, Sheri, Jennifer, and Jack; Special friends – Larry and Treesa Sauerbrunn, Mark Sauerbrunn, Ida Sauerbrunn, and Renee Sauerbrunn; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister – Lynn Peterson; as well as special friends – Harold “Pops” Sauerbrunn, Sr. and Harold “Bud” Sauerbrunn, Jr. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm noon at the Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Collins officiating. Burial and military honors will be held at Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
