Terry Huffman

April 3, 1958 - December 24, 2021

Terry Huffman, age 63 of Murphysboro, passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021 in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Terry was a vigilant fighter, battling cancer for nine years. He was born in Murphysboro to Jerry and Gloria (Davis) Huffman on April 3, 1958. He married the love of his life, Tammy Heininger on April 14, 1984. They shared 37 years of making wonderful memories. Their greatest accomplishment was the birth of their only son and child, Jarred Michael Huffman, born April 17, 1985. On February 12, 2007 they unselfishly said goodbye to their precious son and returned him to the Lord. Jarred welcomed his daddy home with open arms. In his younger years he worked right beside his father, Jerry in the appliance sales and repair business. He then worked faithfully for Voss Heating and Cooling for 25 years. He was known for his exceptional quality of being able to repair any and everything. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and loved to camp and fish. Terry’s greatest joy in life was spending quality time with his wife, Tammy making lasting memories. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Huffman of Murphysboro; his mother and step-father, Gloria (Ralph) Huffman Barringer of Scott City, MO; his in-laws, Michael and Joyce Heininger and Mary Heininger, all of Murphysboro; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dennis & Michelle Hillebrenner of Murphysboro; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Huffman; his precious son, Jarred Michael Huffman; a sister, Layneigh Taylor; and his beloved faithful dog, Lacy. Funeral Services for Terry Huffman will be Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11:00 am in Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Voorhees officiating. Interment will follow in Murdale Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
