Tony Burton

May 1, 1948 - March 27, 2022

Tony Burton, age 73 of Chaffee, Missouri, formerly of Tamms, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 1:11 A.M. at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was the son of William and Molly (Knupp) Burton, who both preceded him in death. Tony was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Lang, who preceded him in death in 1984. In his spare time, Tony loved fishing and gardening. Survivors include two daughters: Mary Rainey and Tia (Codey) Jordan; three sons: Tony, Jr. (Lana) Burton, Tommy (Shanell) Burton, and Joey Burton; Twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as several siblings, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. In addition to his parents and wife, Tony was preceded in death by several siblings. A funeral service honoring the life of Tony Burton will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms with Steve Pennington officiating. Interment will follow at Fayville Cemetery near Olive Branch. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Crain Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
