Tressie Long

February 18, 1944 - April 3, 2021

Tressie Faye Long, 77, of Ullin, passed away at 10:57pm Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Metropolis Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Metropolis, Illinois. She was born February 18, 1944 in Texas County, Missouri to Homer and Rosa (Thompson) Kissiar. She and Roy R. Long, Jr. were married on July 4, 2001. Tressie worked for Bunny Bread in Anna. She was a woman of God and worked in His ministry all over Southern Illinois. Survivors include her husband, Roy of Perks; sons, William “Jack” (Leslie) Doublin of Dongola, Donald “Pete” (Kimberly) Doublin of Anna, James “Jimmy” Doublin of Perks, David (Jasmine) Doublin of Grand Chain, Timothy Long of Makanda; step-daughters, Shelena Long of Makanda and Rosa Long of Mound City; step-sons, David Long of Anna, Gerald (Carolyn) Long of East Cape, Joe Long of Kentucky; sisters, Linda Palmer of Dongola, Brenda Stover of DeFuniak Springs, FL; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; Ray, Larry, Wib, Ernie and James Kissiar; sister, Bessie Kissiar; son, Kenneth Dixon, Sr.; step-son, Lonnie Long; grandchildren, Jayce Webb and Clinton Shae Doublin. Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Thorn officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Anna City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Crain Funeral Home to help family with funeral expenses. Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro is entrusted with arrangements.
