Yvonne Annette Graham, age 85, of Anna, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her residence. She was born September 24, 1936 in Anna, the daughter of Lowell E. and Wanda J. (Watkins) Corbit. She married Richard Otis Graham on October 16, 1960 at Saratoga United Methodist Church and they were able to celebrate 60 years together. Yvonne worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory for 13 years before deciding to stay home to be a fulltime mother and wife. She was a 4-H leader of the Lick Creek 4-H Club for over 45 years. Yvonne had served on the 4-H Extension Council and was a member of the Union County Cattleman Association. She was the local Bible Quiz Director at the Anna First Church of the Nazarene for 18 years, and the Illinois District Director for 20 years. She taught hundreds of children the word of God. Yvonne and her husband entertained many 4-H, Bible Quizzing, and church activities over the years at their residence. She also served on the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery Board for 38 years. Yvonne was saved at the age of 13. She became a member of the Saratoga United Methodist Church and was later baptized in the Bradshaw Creek. Yvonne taught Sunday School since she was fifteen and has always been an avid supporter of Sunday School. In 1972, Yvonne joined the Anna First Church of the Nazarene where she served on the Sunday school board for many years and started the Children’s Church Program. Yvonne loved working on the family farm along with her husband. Together they chopped wood, raised Black Angus cattle, and grew beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. She loved cooking meals for her family and many friends. Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Vonda (Brian) Hill of Anna; grandsons, Christopher Hill and Michael Hill (fiancé Hailey Whitis) all of Anna; sisters, Elaine (Robert) Edwards of Wellsville, Missouri, Donna (Larry) Dyer of Foristell, Missouri, and Diana (Fletcher) Johnson of Harrisburg; brother, Dean Corbit of Buncombe; sister-in-law, Sandy Graham of Anna; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; sister, Carlista Pitts of Jonesboro; brothers-in-law, William T. Graham of Dongola, Thomas Graham of High Ridge, Missouri, Walter Graham of Jonesboro, Curtis Graham of Alvord, Texas, and John Pitts of Cobden; sisters-in-law, Clara Graham of Dongola, Beverly Graham of High Ridge, Missouri, Karen Graham of Alvord, Texas, and Elizabeth Corbit of Buncombe; step-mother, Lois Corbit of Buncombe; mother-in-law. Verda (McCommons) Graham and father-in-law, William F. Graham. Visitation for Yvonne Annette Graham will be Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Anna First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the church sanctuary with Rev. Trenton Ice officiating. Friends may call Saturday at the church after 11:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family request with gratitude that memorial contributions be made the the Anna Nazarene Church Children's Bible Quizzing Program, or the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crain Funeral Home, Anna-Jonesboro.
