IN MEMORY OF: May Ellen (RedCloud) Robinson Serving Location: CRAIN FUNERAL HOME – ULLIN 420 Ullin Avenue, Ullin, Illinois May Ellen (RedCloud) Robinson, 79, of Ullin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026, at St. Louis University Hospital with her family by her side. May was born on May 19th, 1947, in Ullin, Illinois, to Everett "Shorty" RedCloud, Sr. and Alice (Jenkins) RedCloud. She grew up in the Wetaug community, where she made many happy memories that stayed with her throughout her life. She was proud of her family heritage as a descendant of Chief RedCloud and John RedCloud. May worked for 26 years at the Florsheim Shoe Factory until its closure. She later went to work at Dyno Nobel, where she helped manufacture blasting caps that were shipped for use in the construction of the Crazy Horse Monument, something she was always proud to have been a part of. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Ullin and a woman of deep faith in Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. May found joy in life's simple blessings. She loved working in her flower gardens, cooking for her family, reading, listening to gospel and country music, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Christmas was her favorite time of year. Nothing made her happier than having her home filled with family, carrying on cherished traditions, sharing meals, exchanging gifts, and making memories with everyone she loved gathered under one roof. One of May's greatest passions was preserving her family's history by scrapbooking. Through her narrated family photo scrapbooks, she gave each member of her family a priceless gift that will be forever treasured for generations to come. If you knew May, you knew her kind and gentle heart. She had a way of making everyone feel like family. Her smile could light up a room, her laugh was contagious, and her stories had a way of bringing people together. She loved deeply, gave generously, and always put others before herself. She was devoted to her family, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with the people she loved. Above everything else, May loved her family. She believed that if you could do just one thing right in life, it should be being a good parent. She lived by those words every day, giving her family unconditional love, guidance, and support. To her, success wasn't measured by wealth or accomplishments—it was measured by having a close, loving family. She leaves behind her daughter, Sheila (Keith) Clark; six grandchildren, Danielle (Dillan) Robinson , Kembre (Dennis) Bracken, Brittany (John) Dowdy, Josh (Megan) Wright, Braden (Maddie) Clark, and Mason (Allie) Clark; seven great-grandchildren, Kadyn (Reeghan) Bracken, Wyatt Jacobs, Colton Jacobs, Kynleigh Wright, Lawson Wright, Matthew Clark, and Sonny Clark; her sister, Helen Severs; sisters-in-law, Naomi RedCloud and Joanna RedCloud; honorary brother, George Sickling; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends; and, of course, her faithful lap dog, Luna. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Robin RedCloud, on July 5th, 2026; her parents, Everett "Shorty" RedCloud, Sr. and Alice (Jenkins) RedCloud; her brothers, Everett RedCloud, Jr., James (Rose) RedCloud, Carl RedCloud, Robert RedCloud, Charles (Pat) RedCloud, Donald Ray RedCloud, George Edvard RedCloud, and Clifton Eugene RedCloud; her lifelong best friend, Linda Sickling; Charles and Eula Maxwell, affectionately known to her as Charlie and Grandma; and her beloved white dove of 27 years, Charmin. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19th, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Ullin with Pastor Clint Nale officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Wetaug, Illinois. May often said: "You are only as good as your word. Always do the best you can. If you can't do but one thing right, be a good parent. Worship God and live the best you can." She didn't just say those words—she lived them every day. Her faith, kindness, laughter, and unconditional love for her family will never be forgotten. The memories she created, the traditions she treasured, and the values she instilled will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
